I began climbing on Mt. Rainier in 1985 and joined Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. in 1989. I have guided more than 75 climbs above 15,000 feet and have many seasons of rock and ice instruction under my belt. More than anything, I have enjoyed challenging myself. More about me.
I’m no stranger to a diversity of adventures either, having involved myself for more than a decade as a volunteer with a variety of at-risk and beyond-risk children, youth and young adults. This has included work as a children’s pastor, an internship in a psychiatric facility for emotionally fragile teens, and as an outreach team member serving street-involved and homeless youth. Life is an adventure to be shared with others!
